In May 2026, after Governor DeSantis signed the new congressional maps into law, I filed FEC Forms 1 and 2 to run for Florida's 22nd Congressional District. The house I call home is squarely within this new district. The schools, the places of worship, and the organizations I've been part of for my whole life are all right here in the western Palm Beaches.
It is with great honor that I ask for your support on November 3, 2026. If elected, I will caucus with the Republicans and inform the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives to label me as a Republican.

Steve Avila is a lifelong resident of Florida's 22nd Congressional District — raised here, worked here, and built his life here. He knows this community not from a campaign brochure, but from decades of living it.
Steve graduated first in his class at Royal Palm Beach High School, right here within the region of FL-22, before earning a degree from Dartmouth College. He brought that same work ethic back home, never forgetting the blue-collar community that shaped him.
With deep roots and a conservative backbone, Steve is ready to bring commonsense leadership to Washington — standing up for hardworking families, protecting our borders, and keeping government out of your life.
